...suddenly time falters...

…I jumped, the long rusty screw tore an elongated gash into my thigh, my body twisted, my mid-jump composure evaporated, a sharp breath escaped me as my foot; followed by my body, hit the cobblestones… The world around me went dark…

… As my surroundings slowly regained their contours, colours and shapes, I found myself sitting crouched over in the street, slow rhythmical pangs of pain, throbbing through my left ankle, finding their way through my body and my nervous system, waking up every single sense and multiplying it… I pressed my eyes shut. Attempting by all force to drown out the world around me. My shouting and singing friends, the stench of vomit and greasy hot dogs, the bright neon lights singeing in on my retinas, my conscience. Try as I might, it was impossible; I knew there was a situation I had to deal with… Snap out of it...

…“Suddenly, time falters.
First, the head spins, overcome with a slight vertigo. It is nothing; but then the spinning goes wild, the ears start to ring, the earth gives way and disappears, one sinks back, goes away… Where does one go?”( Clement,C 1994) ...

…Where am I? …
